Lucienne Renaudin Vary


Winner in the ‘Révélation’ category of the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2016, French trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary has been described as a trumpet sensation by Classical KDFC radio. At the age of 17 she became an artist under the Warner Classics label and released her first album in collaboration with Orchestre National de Lille and Rolando Villazón entitled The Voice of the Trumpet. A second album recorded with the BBC Concert Orchestra under Bill Elliott was released in 2019. In the 2019/2020 season Lucienne Renaudin Vary makes her US debut performing Shostakovich Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and Strings at the season opening gala-concert of the National Symphony Orchestra with Yuja Wang under Gianandrea Noseda.  In Europe she will give return performances with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and concerts with the London Chamber Orchestra both in London and on their South East Asia tour. As well as classical repertoire, Lucienne Renaudin Vary is an avid performer of jazz. In 2018 she made her Jazz Festival debut at the opening concert of Jazz in Marciac appearing before Wynton Marsalis.
