Haedeun Lee
Principal Cello
Haedeun Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. From the age of twelve she was selected as a prodigy by the Kumho Cultural Foundation to give recitals in Korea and Germany. She entered the pre-college division of the Korean National University of Arts to study cello and later graduated from Yewon School, the Seoul Arts High School and the Seoul National University where she received the Excellence in Music Prize. Haedeun Lee holds a Master of Music degree and a Konzertexamen degree from the Berlin University of the Arts (UDK) and the Rostock University of Music and Theatre respectively. Her teachers included Wolfgang Boettcher and Julian Steckel. She has appeared as a soloist with the North German Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonie Baden-Baden, the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, the Daegu Symphony Orchestra and the Seoul Soloists Cello Ensemble. She has also performed as tutti cellist with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Dresden. Her experience includes concerts in prestigious concert halls including the Berliner Philharmonie, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Semperoper Dresden and collaborations with world-renowned conductors including Paavö Järvi, Marek Janowski, Christian Thielemann, Riccardo Chailly and Herbert Blomstedt. Following her successful career in Europe she was invited to join the cello section of the Gyeonggi Philharmonic. More recently she has served as the principal cellist of the Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, the New World Philharmonic Orchestra, the Asian Philharmonic Orchestra and the One Korea Orchestra. Haedeun Lee is currently a member of the Seoul Soloist Cello Ensemble. She joined City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as principal cellist in 2020.
李希冬
首席大提琴
李希冬生於韓國首爾。她十二歲時獲錦湖文化基金會選為音樂資優兒童，並在韓國和德國舉行獨奏會。李希冬入讀於韓國藝術綜合大學預科修讀大提琴，其後畢業於藝苑學校、首爾藝術高中及首爾大學，就讀其間更獲音樂卓越獎。李希冬分別獲柏林藝術大學音樂碩士學位及羅斯托克音樂與戲劇大學Konzertexamen學位。她的老師包括老師沃夫岡‧布查及史迪基。她曾與北德愛樂樂團、巴登‧巴登愛樂交響樂團 、匈牙利國家愛樂樂團 、 仁川愛樂樂團 、大邱交響樂團及首爾獨奏大提琴樂團合作並擔任獨奏。李希冬亦曾於柏林廣播交響樂團、萊比錫布業大廳管弦樂團及德勒斯登國家管弦樂團擔任大提琴手，亦曾在世界著名的演奏廳，如柏林愛樂音樂廳、維也納金色大廳及杉普歌劇院演出。曾合作過的世界級指揮包括帕佛‧約菲、馬雷克‧亞諾夫斯基、克里斯蒂安‧蒂勒曼、列卡度‧沙爾及布隆斯泰特。李希冬的旅歐洲音樂生涯獲得佳績，及後應邀回流韓國，加入京畿道愛樂樂團擔任大提琴手，最近她亦擔任城南愛樂樂團、新世界愛樂樂團 、亞洲愛樂樂團和一個韓國樂團的首席大提琴。李希冬目前為首爾獨奏大提琴樂團的成員。她於2020年加入香港城市室內樂團並擔任首席大提琴。
