Samuel Bin

Violin

Samuel Bin was born in Hong Kong and began piano and violin studies at an early age with Tsui Lap-li, Poon Ting-leung and Jason Ho. He has won several prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and at the Hong Kong Youth Violin Competition. In 2009 he graduated with a Diploma in violin performance and a Bachelor of Music degree from The Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts (HKAPA). His teachers include Ho Hong-ying (violin) and Michael Ma and Ray Wang (chamber music). He also studied conducting, choral conducting and music therapy and holds a DipABRSM from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. During his studies he was selected to perform in masterclasses by Lin Cho-liang, Anne Shih and Charles Castleman. In 2006 he performed with the pianist Lang Lang as a member of the Chinese University Students' Symphony Orchestra. Besides performing, Samuel Bin teaches at the Yip's Children's Choral and Performing Arts Centre and the Yao Jue Music Academy among others. He has been a member of City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong since 2009.

卞祉碩

小提琴

卞祉碩生於香港, 早年分別受潘廷亮及徐立莉啟蒙學習小提琴及鋼琴。他之後跟隨何俊甡深造小提琴,並在香港校際音樂節及全港青少年小提琴比賽中獲獎。卞祉碩於2009年於香港演藝學院畢業,獲小提琴演奏文憑及音樂學士學位。他師隨何紅英學習小提琴、並師隨馬忠為及王磊學習室內樂。除此之外,他更研讀指揮、合唱指揮及音樂治療,亦獲英國皇家音樂學院演奏文憑。 卞祉碩過去曾在林昭亮、舒爾及卡素曼所教授的大師班中演奏 ,亦於2006年獲選代表香港參加全球華人大學生精英樂團,與鋼琴家郎朗合作演出。除演奏外,卞氏任教於葉氏兒童音樂實踐中心及姚玨天才音樂學院,2009年加入香港城市室樂團。
