Ney Rosauro is a Brazilian composer, percussionist, conductor and educator and a major force in the percussion world. He has enriched the repertoire with his unique style of composition that combines infectious rhythms and melodies with the rich elements of Brazilian folklore. In 2023 he was inducted into the Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame and in 2022 he received the Yamaha Lifetime Achievement Award for his endless commitment to music education. His catalogue includes method books and over 150 compositions for percussion, and also numerous works for orchestra, symphonic band and ensembles. His Concerto No.1 for Marimba, is the most popular concerto ever written for the instrument. Ney Rosauro has performed as a soloist with orchestras in more than 45 countries and at the most prestigious international percussion festivals. He has guest conducted numerous orchestras in Brazil, USA, Canada, Ecuador and Paraguay. He has made 11 CD recordings to critical acclaim.
