Raymond Young has been associated with singing since 1982 when he competed as one of the finalists in TVB's seminal singing contest. Over the years he has been featured in numerous solo concerts, and with celebrated Hong Kong musical producers and conductors including Yen Hui-chang, Michael Lai and Chiu Tsang-hei. He has also performed with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. His vocal repertoire is exceptionally diverse and includes Chinese and Western popular songs, Cantonese operatic songs, European art songs and theme songs from the musicals.
