Raymond Vong
Percussion
Raymond Vong was born in Macao and is currently active as a percussionist in Macau and Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree and a Master in Music degree with distinction from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In 2004 he won First Prize at the Macau Youth Music Competition and in 2007 and 2008 he toured to Mainland China, Japan and Vietnam as a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra. He has performed with the Macao Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and the North Carolina Orchestra in the USA. He has given many percussion recitals in Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China, and has participated in numerous music festivals including the Zeltsman Marimba Festival in Wisconsin and the Brevard Music Festival in North Carolina. Raymond Vong became a member of City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong in 2013. He also serves as a faculty member of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and is the Executive Director of the Macau Percussion Association.
