
Louise Tsui
Viola
Louise Tsui was born and raised in Hong Kong. She studied violin with Beedarn Chao and both violin and viola with Danny Wong. In 2020 she received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Viola Performance from The Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where she studied under Roger Chase. She received several scholarships and awards during her studies including the Gladys Bratton Scholarship, the GREAT China Scholarship, the Trinity College London Scholarship, the Leverhulme Trust Scholarship and the Shield Award. Louise Tsui has participated in masterclasses by Charles Castleman, Garth Knox and Matthew Jones. In 2015 she won First Prize in the Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition. In 2020 she was selected to perform with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) as part of the BSO Orchestral Post-Graduate Training programme. She joined CCOHK as viola tutti in 2023.
