Shelagh Heath

Cello

Shelagh Heath was born in Edinburgh in Scotland and began cello lessons at the age of seven with Mary Robertson. She entered the Junior Department at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and then moved to London where she received her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music. Her teachers include Alexander Baillie, Douglas Cummings, Jennifer Ward Clarke (Baroque and modern cello), Beth Macdonald and Patricia Hair. While studying in London she was highly commended at the May Mukle Concerto Prize, won prizes in the Croft Early Music Competition and performed for two years as principal cellist of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. From 1992 to 1995 Shelagh was principal cellist of Camerata Scotland. She joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 1995. In 2002 she spent a year freelancing in the UK and then returned to Hong Kong to perform for two seasons with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Shelagh Heath has been performing with City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong since 2001 and became a member in 2005. She appears in various venues in Hong Kong as a chamber musician and teaches cello privately.

洪嘉儀

大提琴

洪嘉儀生於蘇格蘭愛丁堡,七歲起跟隨羅拔遜學習大提琴。早年入讀蘇格蘭皇家音樂戲劇學院青年組,後赴笈倫敦獲英國皇家音樂學院音樂學位。曾師隨拜利、昆明斯、格勒(巴洛克及現代大提琴)、麥丹勞及凱爾。在倫敦學習時,參加穆高協奏曲大賽奬項,獲高度評價,並取得歌夫達早期音樂大賽奬項。曾擔任蘇格蘭國家青年交響樂團大提琴首席兩年。1992至1995年擔任蘇格蘭室內樂團大提琴首席。洪嘉儀生於1995年加入香港管弦樂團,其後於2002年到英國任自由身音樂人一年。回港後,她加入香港小交響樂團,演出兩個樂季。洪嘉儀於2001年開始參與香港城市室樂團演出,並於2005年正式加入樂團。她於香港各處演奏室樂,並私人教授大提琴。
