William Lee received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in music from the Hong Kong Baptist University and a Master of Music in violin performance from the University of Texas in Austin on a scholarship. He also holds a LTCL in violin performance and an ATCL in viola performance from the Trinity College London with distinction. His violin mentors include Wong Wai-ming, Andrew Ling, Ray Tsoi and Daniel Ching. During his studies William Lee was the concertmaster of the Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra and performed at Carnegie Hall with the Collegium Musicum of Hong Kong. He has participated in several chamber music masterclasses with Daniel Jordan, David Kim, Leo Phillips, Robert Díaz and members of the Miró Quartet. In 2019 he received a full scholarship to perform as concertmaster of the orchestra of the 30th Texas Music Festival. In 2017 he won third prize at the 5th Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition. William Lee was tutti violinist with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta from 2022 to 2024. In 2025 he became a member of City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong.
