Yvonne Chan
Co-Principal Double Bass
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Yvonne Chan began learning the double bass at the age of eleven. She studied under Feng Rong at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) Degree) with First Class Honours. During her studies she received numerous awards and scholarships including the Aedas Scholarship, the Jacky Cheung Scholarship and the HKAPA Best Academic Achievement Prize. After graduation she continued her studies as a visiting student at the HKAPA with Eddie Zong. Yvonne has taken part in masterclasses by Edicson Ruiz, Timothy Cobb and Colin Paris. She also toured to Europe, USA and Asia as a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra, appearing at the Lucerne Festival and the Young Euro Classic. In 2019 she attended the Round Top Music Festival where she performed with the Texas Festival Orchestra and was mentored by James VanDemark and Brett Shurtliffe. In 2021 Yvonne Chan joined City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as Co-Principal Double Bass.
陳睿媛
低音大提琴
陳睿媛在香港出生及長大，11歲開始學習低音大提琴，後於香港演藝學院隨馮榕習藝，並於2020年畢業，獲音樂學士（一級榮譽）學位。在學期間，她贏取了多個獎項和獎學金，包括凱達環球獎學金、張學友獎學金、香港演藝學院最佳學術成就獎。畢業後，她以訪問學生身分隨宗小謙進修。除了常規課程，也參加過魯伊斯、科布和巴里斯的大師班；又以亞洲青年樂團成員身份，到過歐美亞多地演出，參與琉森音樂節及青年歐洲古典音樂節。2019年，她在美國德州的圓頂音樂節與德薩斯州音樂節樂團演出，得到范迪麥及舒提菲的指導。2021年，陳睿媛於2021年加入香港城巿室樂團擔任低音大提琴聯席首席。
