Janees Wong is a rare phenomenon in the music world, seamlessly bridging the gap between elite classical virtuosity and powerful pop vocal performance. Raised in Hong Kong and classically trained in Europe, her technical prowess is grounded in an exceptional classical background. At the age of 11, she received a Fellowship of Trinity College London (FTCL), and at 15, was awarded a full scholarship to study violin at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg under the tutelage of master Pierre Amoyal. During her time as a classical violinist, she performed at the Musikverein in Vienna and at New York’s Lincoln Center. In 2022 Janees Wong expanded her artistry into the pop realm after becoming the first runner-up of TVB’s Stars Academy 2. Since then, she has emerged as a decorated vocalist, winning the Metro Radio Hits Best Female Newcomer Silver Award and the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Song Writers Quest. Known for her signature live vocal-violin crossover performances, Janees delivers tailored, multilingual performances in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and German at prestigious government ceremonies and corporate celebrations to televised broadcasts and stadium concerts.
