Sophie Dervaux enjoys an exceptionally outstanding career as a solo bassoonist, orchestral and chamber musician, conductor and recording artist. Since 2015 she has held the principal bassoon chairs at the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera Orchestras. Previously, she was contrabassoonist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a prize-winner of the prestigious ARD International Music Competition Munich (2013) and the Beethoven Ring Bonn (2014). Born in France, Sophie Dervaux began her musical education on the guitar and clarinet and has been playing the bassoon since 2003. After training at the Music Conservatory of Versailles, she studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (Conservatoire de Paris) in Lyon and at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. She then joined the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Academy (Karajan Academy). Her performing career has brought her to many of the world's most iconic concert halls, including the Philharmonie de Paris, Berlin Philharmonie, Suntory Hall Tokyo, New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London. She has appeared as soloist with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2021 she recorded her debut solo album for the Berlin Classics label with pianist Sélim Mazari and received the German Record Critics’ Award. This was followed by a project to record Vivaldi’s entire catalogue of 39 bassoon concertos with La Folia Barockorchester. She has also recorded the Beethoven Trio with Daniel Barenboim and Emmanuel Pahud on the Warner Classics label. Sophie Dervaux made her conducting debut in 2019 with the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia and has since conducted the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Ensemble Kanazawa, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the KBS Symphony Orchestra in Seoul, the Orchestra National Capitole Toulouse and the Wermland Opera. She currently teaches bassoon at the Music and Arts University of The City of Vienna and plays on a Püchner bassoon.

巴松管/指揮

德芙的音樂生涯極之多彩,身兼巴松管獨奏家、管弦與室樂演奏家、指揮家、錄音藝術家等多重身份。自2015年起,她擔任維也納愛樂樂團與維也納國家歌劇院樂團的首席巴松管。此前,她曾擔任柏林愛樂樂團的低音巴松管樂師。她曾榮獲享負盛譽的慕尼黑 ARD 國際音樂比賽(2013年)與波恩貝多芬指環(2014年)等獎項。德芙出生於法國,最初學習結他與單簧管,自2003年起吹奏巴松管。她在凡爾賽音樂學院接受訓練後,於巴黎國立高等音樂學院(里昂分校)與柏林漢斯.艾斯勒音樂學院深造,隨後進入柏林愛樂樂團學院(卡拉揚學院)。她的表演足跡遍及全球各大知名音樂殿堂,包括巴黎愛樂廳、柏林愛樂音樂廳、東京山多利音樂廳、紐約卡內基音樂廳、倫敦皇家阿爾伯特音樂廳等。她曾以獨奏家身份,與柏林音樂廳管弦樂團、巴伐利亞廣播交響樂團、維也納愛樂樂團等合作。2021年,她與鋼琴家馬薩里攜手,為柏林古典唱片公司錄製了首張個人獨奏專輯,並榮獲德國唱片樂評協會獎。隨後,她與佛利亞巴洛克樂團合作,錄製韋華第全套39首巴松管協奏曲。她亦曾與巴倫邦與巴活合作,為華納古典唱片錄製貝多芬三重奏。德芙首次擔任指揮,是於2019年與亞美尼亞國家室樂團合作。自此,她陸續指揮過薩爾斯堡莫扎特樂團、慕尼黑室樂團、金澤管弦樂團、東京交響樂團、布拉格愛樂樂團、韓國首爾KBS交響樂團、圖盧茲市政大廈樂團、瑞典瓦姆蘭歌劇院等。她目前於維也納音樂與藝術市立大學教授巴松管,吹奏的是Püchner巴松管。
