The bassoon, an instrument bubbling with joi de vivre, gets a rare spotlight in this unique concert! French-born Sophie Dervaux, solo bassoonist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, makes an exciting Hong Kong debut performing the greatest virtuosi concertos for bassoon from the Baroque and classical eras. She will also draw her baton to conduct CCOHK in upbeat works by French composers Lully and Gossec.
