Torchbearer of her father Ravi Shankar, the multi-Grammy-nominated sitar virtuoso and composer Anoushka Shankar brings Indian music on new paths in the classical world. Chapters is a joint commission with the BBC Proms and features music from Anoushka Shankar’s three ‘Chapter’ albums, tracing her musical and geographical journeys. Robert Ames conducts CCOHK in these new orchestral arrangements of the trilogy – Forever, For Now, How Dark it is Before Dawn and We Return to Light.

曾獲多次格林美獎提名的西塔琴演奏家兼作曲家阿努詩卡・香卡，身為其父親拉維・香卡的傳承者，為印度音樂在古典樂壇開闢嶄新道路。《人生樂章》是本樂團與英國BBC逍遙音樂節共同委約之作，匯聚香卡三張《人生樂章》專輯中的樂章，勾勒出她橫跨音樂與地理的歷程。本場音樂會由羅伯特・艾姆斯指揮香港城市室樂團，呈現這三部曲新編交響版本的選段──《永恆、當下》、《黎明前如斯黑暗》、《我們重返光明》。
